Establishment & Our Organization:

“Denizlerdeyiz, Amateur Sailors Association”- (DADD)  Was established on 26 March 2017, According to the laws of the Republic of Turkey by the participation of 57 members initially.

The first General Assembly was held on 23 April 2017. Primarily, the committees were formed. On the same date, the activities of the association were initiated under the supervision of the board of directors.

The purpose of the association is;

-Encouragement of sea, maritime and water sports.

-To contribute to the spread and development of maritime.

-Making the People a lover of the sea and maritime.

-Giving sportive, social and cultural services to the society.

-To provide solidarity among the members and to develop these relations.

– To work with the associations which operate in Turkey and abroad for the same    purpose

– To promote environmental awareness and protect our nature, especially seas and our coasts.

-To investigate the possibilities of solutions to common problems.

Our Flag:

The points we emphasized in the designs we made for our flag is

1-Simpleness
2-The symbols we use should have the story and must keep in mind.
3-Colors should be as meaningful as possible.
4-Should be as far away from text as possible.

These came from us by an amateur approach

“Anchor” symbolizes Amateur Sailors, sea and everything about the sea.

“Anchor” becomes a ”boat” when considered a little more symbolic,

“Blue triangle” means a sail,

“Blue” Means, Blue Seas,

“Three Edge of Red Angle” means, Turkey which surrounded by seas on three sides,

 “White” means our hope and entrepreneurship,

“Circle” means Our World.

“White Circle” means Our hope to cruise around the World Seas.

Finally,

“Red” and “White” come from our National Flag.

Our Short Name Meanings !!

The short name of the Association DADD is the initials of the “Denizlerdeyiz, Amateur Sailors Association”. But, at the same time, the meaning of DADD is very similar with Anatolia, which is surrounded by sea on three sides.

“DENİZ” (D) Means Sea in Turkish language

we would like to proudly inform you that, DADD has reach 750 members in a very short time, Since its inception.
